"Formal Hall takes place every night of Full Term. The candle-lit College Hall with its stained glass windows, portraits and 16th century panelling provides the perfect ambience for formal dinners.

A three-course meal is served every night and currently costs £3.40. The dress code is formal with a strict ban on T-shirts, blue jeans and trainers. Gowns are compulsory."
